About the role

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for an Assistant Professor-in-Residence, Department of Computer Science, College of Engineering [R0150748].

Responsibilities

  • Teaching, advising and mentoring students
  • Course development
  • Engaging in service activities at the department, college, university, and community levels

Requirements

  • Ph. D in Computer Science from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
  • Experience teaching at an 'R1 Doctoral University – Very High Research Activity' institution
  • Experience teaching courses in Programming Languages and Compiler Construction is highly preferred

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Ph. D in Computer Science and experience teaching at an 'R1 Doctoral University – Very High Research Activity' institution
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching courses in Programming Languages and Compiler Construction

Skills

  • Ability to teach and mentor students
  • Experience in course development and curriculum design
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
