Assistant Professor of Computer Science
Position Specifics
The Engineering Division at Penn State Great Valley invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Computer Science position, starting Fall 2026 or as mutually agreed. The successful candidate will teach six graduate-level courses per academic year, advise and mentor students, engage in scholarly research, and contribute to program, campus, and University service. Teaching responsibilities will include both online and on-campus instruction in advanced areas of computer science, with a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and related fields. We seek to integrate technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and generative AI, as well as emerging areas such as agentic AI systems, low-code/no-code AI platforms, and responsible AI practices, into innovative curricula and research that address real-world challenges. Additional interests include computer vision, edge AI for real-time applications, and applied AI in domains such as cybersecurity and healthcare.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline by the start date.
