About the role
The School of Engineering at Liberty University is seeking an Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Program
- Maintain the integrity of course and instructional programs
- Create an academic atmosphere of mutual respect and consideration for individual dignity
- Aid in the development of curriculum in the residential and distance education environments
- Engage in research/scholarship or creative activity that varies depending upon the expectations of their respective college or school
Requirements
- A doctoral degree from an accredited institution in computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related field
- Expertise in Embedded Systems, Real-Time Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Digital Logic, PCB design, and Linux Programming
Qualifications
- An earned doctoral degree or a terminal master’s degree at an accredited institution in an area relevant to the faculty member’s area of teaching or a professional certificate (e.g., CPA) is preferred but not required
Skills
- Ability to teach effectively in a Christian environment
- Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching methods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

$72,000.00 - $115,000.00
Schedule
- Contracted for 10, 11, or 12 months (30, 33, or 36 load hours, respectively)
