About the role

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant Professor-In-Residence, College of Engineering [R0150463].

Responsibilities

  • Teach and develop interdisciplinary courses in areas such as additive manufacturing, mechanical fabrication, production systems, automation and control, mechatronics, and sustainable technology practices.
  • Engage in curriculum development and program assessment.
  • Mentor students and contribute to college and university service.
  • Develop and deliver well-structured, rigorous, and interdisciplinary courses.
  • Use effective, innovative, and creative instructional methods that promote active learning and critical thinking.

Requirements

  • Hold a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Engineering or a closely related field by the time of appointment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
  • Prior college level teaching experience and industry engagement in entertainment, manufacturing, or related applied engineering fields are preferred.

Pay

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Contingent upon funding.
