Job Summary

The Department of Psychology at the University of Utah invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Human Neuroscience. We seek an outstanding scientist with a strong, theory-driven research program that advances our understanding of the human brain through innovative neuroscience research.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active, externally funded research program and contribute to graduate and undergraduate teaching. Candidates with an outstanding record of research accomplishment and evidence of, or strong potential for, securing external funding are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an active, externally funded research program
  • Contribute to graduate and undergraduate teaching
  • Teach courses such as computational neuroscience, computational modeling, machine learning, artificial intelligence in psychology, or related quantitative methods

Requirements

  • A PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field

  • Experience teaching at the university level
  • Ability to integrate computational or quantitative methods with human neuroscience research
