Assistant Professor - Healthcare Management
About the role
The Allied Health Department at Alfred State College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member to join our team. This position combines teaching on campus and online, focusing on the Healthcare Management program and other related courses.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a standard load of engaging online and on-campus courses each term.
- Design and maintain high-quality online learning experiences that keep students motivated and connected.
- Mentor and advise students through academic and career planning, and be available during regular office hours to support their success.
- Contribute to curriculum development and program updates to ensure alignment with industry standards and career readiness.
- Participate actively in departmental and college committees and initiatives.
- Grow professionally by embracing opportunities for continuous learning and development.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in healthcare management, healthcare administration, business administration with a focus on healthcare, or related.
- PREFERRED Qualifications: Doctorate in a healthcare-related field.
- Experience: Teaching experience in higher education.
- Experience: Online teaching experience a plus.
- Experience in student advising.
- Experience working in a healthcare-related field, particularly a management role.
- Ability to teach courses in other programs in the department a plus (health information management, radiologic technology, diagnostic medical sonography, MRI).
Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in healthcare management, healthcare administration, business administration with a focus on healthcare, or related.
Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate in a healthcare-related field.
