Assistant Professor in Healthcare Management/Administration

About the role

The Department of Health and Human Performance is seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor Faculty position. The faculty member will have graduate and undergraduate teaching assignments related to healthcare administration to include, but not limited to, Human Resources, Healthcare Management, Public Health Law, Data Analytics, Healthcare Economics. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing relationships with local and regional healthcare organizations, advising students, scholarly productivity, and service.

Responsibilities

• Develop graduate and undergraduate courses in healthcare administration
• Advise students on career paths and academic plans
• Contribute to the department's scholarly activities
• Engage with local and regional healthcare organizations
• Participate in service activities within the university and community

Requirements

• PhD in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field
• Experience in higher education teaching and research
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a relevant field
• Research experience in healthcare administration or public health
• Teaching experience at the college level

Skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to teach and mentor diverse student populations
• Experience with data analytics and healthcare economics
