Assistant Professor- Health Sciences

Position Overview

Full‑time, 9‑month, tenure‑track Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Sciences, College of Health Professions. The faculty member will teach undergraduate courses (in‑person, virtual, and online) covering health care knowledge, human disease, health research, and professional skill development.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses using various delivery modes (in‑person, virtual, online).
• Advise and mentor students for graduate school admission and job placement in clinical and indirect patient‑care professions.
• Coordinate student capstone opportunities.
• Make substantial contributions to teaching, research/scholarly activities, and service.
• Contribute to the university’s general education curriculum and high‑impact teaching practices (e.g., Community‑based Learning, Critical Thinking, First‑Year Seminar, Writing Across Curriculum).
• Support interdisciplinary programs of study within the College.

Qualifications

• Official transcripts for both undergraduate and graduate degrees must be sent directly to the chair of the search committee prior to an on‑campus interview.
• Demonstrated ability to teach using high‑impact pedagogical initiatives.
• Experience advising and mentoring undergraduate students.
• Evidence of scholarly or research activity.

Schedule

Full‑time, 9‑month appointment on a tenure‑track basis.
