About the role
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include participating in the clinical education of medical students, residents and fellows as a member of the Division of Emergency Medicine, mentoring of trainees (including fellows and graduate students) in area of applicant’s interest and mentoring of postdoctoral fellows, students, and fellows and supervision of research staff.
- Clinical responsibilities may include providing direct patient care in an Emergency Department in Philadelphia, PA that has an annual volume of over 100,000 visits.
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include include knowledge of current ED studies and participate in patient enrollment, as needed. Establishing a portfolio of collaborative and independent research related to identified field of interest within Pediatric Emergency Medicine, serving as primary author and co-author for reports and manuscripts, serving as principal investigator and co-investigator on federal, state, and foundation grant efforts.
Requirements
Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and be board-certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, or board-eligible.
