Teaching
Teaching responsibilities may include participating in the clinical education of medical students, residents and fellows as a member of the Division of Emergency Medicine, mentoring of trainees (including fellows and graduate students) in area of applicant’s interest and mentoring of postdoctoral fellows, students, and fellows and supervision of research staff.
Clinical
Clinical responsibilities may include providing direct patient care in an Emergency Department in Philadelphia, PA that has an annual volume of over 100,000 visits. Clinical employment opportunities in Pediatric Emergency Medicine are also being offered at our clinical affiliate institutions; Virtua Voorhees, in Southern New Jersey, King of Prussia Pediatric Hospital in King of Prussia, PA and Christiana Care Health System in Newark, DE.
Research
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include include knowledge of current ED studies and participate in patient enrollment, as needed. Additional research responsibilities include establishing a portfolio of collaborative and independent research related to identified field of interest within Pediatric Emergency Medicine, serving as primary author and co-author for reports and manuscripts, serving as principal investigator and co-investigator on federal, state, and foundation grant efforts.
