Located in Philadelphia, PA, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania are seeking candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Open date Jun 27, 2025; deadline Jun 27, 2027 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching: participate in the clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows as a member of the Division of Emergency Medicine.
  • Clinical: provide direct patient care in an Emergency Department with an annual volume of approximately 100,000 visits at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
  • Clinical affiliates: provide care at Virtua Voorhees (Southern New Jersey) and the King of Prussia Center (King of Prussia, PA) with an academic appointment and clinical shifts in the CHOP Emergency Department.
  • Distribution of clinical activity between CHOP and the designated affiliate is negotiable and can be tailored to the applicant’s interests, but significant time away from CHOP Main should be expected.
  • Participate in patient enrollment for current emergency department studies as needed.

Qualifications

  • M.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Expertise in Pediatrics with a focus on Emergency Medicine.

Skills

  • Knowledge of current emergency department studies.
  • Ability to enroll patients in research studies as needed.
