About the role
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring of neuropathology fellows, medical residents, medical students, graduate students and postdoctoral or other scientists.
- Clinical responsibilities may include surgical and medical neuropathology, including intraoperative consultations (frozens) and on call duties.
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development of a translational, collaborative research program, preferably on brain tumors.
Requirements
- American Board of Pathology certification is required in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
- American Board of Pathology certification or eligibility in Neuropathology is required.
- Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.
Qualifications
- Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
Skills
- Excellent teaching and clinical care skills.
- Ability to conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
