About the role
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Neuropathology.
Responsibilities
- Lectures, didactics and training of medical students, residents, and fellows in Perelman School of Medicine and at Penn Medicine Hospitals, primarily at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
- Surgical and medical neuropathology service, including sign-out, intraoperative consultations (frozens), muscle and nerve biopsies, telepathology, consults, and presentations at intradepartmental or multidisciplinary conferences.
Requirements
- An M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Neuropathology and Anatomic Pathology.
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
