About the role
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, ranked No. 1 nationwide for cancer care, seeks a full-time Gastrointestinal Pathologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to join a world-renowned team in the Department of Anatomical Pathology. The candidate should have completed a minimum one-year fellowship training in GI pathology.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the routine sign out activities of a high volume of oncology specimens consisting of GI, liver, and pancreas specimens across five sign out services.
- Willing to participate in general and GI frozen sections, multidisciplinary clinical conferences, and equitable call coverage.
- Have an interest and participate in education, clinical/translational research, and clinical trial collaborative research.
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology.
- An active Texas medical license or eligibility.
Qualifications
- MD, PhD; or DO degree in a field appropriate to department mission.
- Licensed to practice in Texas.
- Must be Board certified or obtained within departmental timeline.
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
