Assistant Professor, 9 Month Salaried (School of Information-Health Informatics)
About the role
We are seeking faculty colleagues with interdisciplinary, sociotechnical systems research interests in the general area of health informatics.
Responsibilities
- Conduct impactful research in health informatics and one or more of the following areas: emerging applied artificial intelligence, human-centered data science, cybersecurity, human-centered computing, user experience (UX), or data management.
- Teach at all levels, including courses in the school’s bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs.
- Teach both online and face-to-face courses.
- Advise students and serve on School, College, and University committees.
- Be active in professional and academic organizations.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in information science, biomedical and health informatics, information technology, computer science or another relevant discipline.
Skills
Successful candidates will be expected to conduct impactful research and teach in health informatics and one or more of the following areas: emerging applied artificial intelligence, human-centered data science, cybersecurity, human-centered computing, user experience (UX), or data management.
