Responsibilities
Successful candidates are expected to:
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching and research.
- Support undergraduate and graduate academic development.
- Teach mathematics courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Engage in academic advising and contribute to university service and departmental activities.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a closely related field.
- Priority will be given to applicants with a strong background in Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching across a broad range of mathematics courses.
- Interest in developing interdisciplinary initiatives in Mathematics.
- Strong record of scholarly research and university service.
Recommended Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Proven ability to secure external funding and develop sustainable research programs.
- Experience supporting student academic development.
- Proficiency in using technology for teaching.
- Implementation of best teaching practices in mathematics and statistics.
- Collaborative approach to working with faculty across disciplines.
- High level of scientific creativity.
Conditions of Employment
- Subject to pre-employment screening (criminal records, reference checks, education verification).
