The Oklahoma State University Library invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty position as Patent, Trademark, and Government Documents Librarian. The role leads the University’s Patent and Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) and the government documents unit, which is the sole Federal Depository Library in Oklahoma. The position reports to the Associate Dean for Distinctive Collections and includes liaison duties for the History and Political Science departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership for the government documents unit and the PTRC.
• Serve as a resource for students, staff, faculty, and the broader Oklahoma public.
• Lead the state’s only Federal Depository Library collection and offer guidance to selective libraries in Oklahoma.
• Deliver reference services, library instruction, collection development, and outreach.
• Develop collaborations on and off campus, including partnerships within and outside the Library and the OSU community.
• Identify and implement new initiatives, build networks and relationships, and expand the reach of the unit.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science.
• Demonstrated collegiality and ability to foster a collaborative environment.
• Exceptional core competencies in communication and organization.
• Ability to meet university standards for tenure‑track faculty in scholarship, creative activity, and service.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience with government documents and databases.
• Past work with patent and trademark searches.
• Experience providing reference and instruction in a library setting.

Pay

Competitive salary minimum $65,000 for an 11‑month appointment.
