Responsibilities
- Aid in providing preconstruction services to clients and operations teams.
- Operate within a team environment and manage various aspects of budget and bid proposals.
- Create written scopes of work for different trades.
- Review and comprehend technical and financial information provided by subcontractors.
- Show comprehensive knowledge of major trades and components involved in construction projects.
- Write request for information (RFI) during the pricing phase of projects.
- Contribute to cost-saving solutions and make influential decisions regarding multiple projects.
- Communicate regularly with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Organize deliverables both internally and externally.
- Evaluate work products to ensure consistent processes and quality.
- Continuously train project engineers.
- Be productive and efficient with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field, required (2 to 3 years of field experience or close involvement with projects under construction).
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
- Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with project scheduling and phasing of projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Closely attend to details.
- Analyze technical information.
- Able to work efficiently under deadlines.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Proficiency in On-Screen Take-off (OST) and Adobe products, including Bluebeam.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $82,000.00 - $117,000.00, according to the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act (RCW 49.58.110).
