Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a talented Pastry Chef with a passion for food quality, customer service, and community.

About the role

The Pastry Chef will be part of a dynamic team offering a unique menu of over 40 fresh baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins made with honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and pay close attention to details to create one-of-a-kind pastries and baked goods.
• Lift large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 lbs. or more and stand, lift, and mix daily.
• Work through change and be flexible while maintaining focus on the kitchen operations.
• Start shifts early, rising before sunrise.

Requirements

• Proven track record of super-hero abilities in the kitchen, including following recipes and paying close attention to details.
• Experience in large-scale baking/pastry, with a preference for experience in decorating pastries quickly.
• Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handler and sanitation standards.
• At least 18 years of age.

Qualifications

• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus but not required.
