Assistant Operations Manager (OAK)

About the role

You will be part of our airport leadership team, reporting to the General Manager and leading daily floor operations at your station. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and acts as a hands-on coach for security, customer service, and sales.

Responsibilities

• Spend 80% of time on the floor in a customer-facing environment at the airport
• Ensure CLEAR and TSA policy and procedures are conducted with the highest levels of security and integrity
• Monitor and drive security, service, and sales on each shift
• Manage shift briefings, debriefs, and huddles, as well as any changes, breaks, and rotations
• Coach, mentor, and train the team to meet sales and customer service goals and standards
• Oversee asset control and devices—understand how our technology works and troubleshoot when necessary
• Represent CLEAR throughout the airport, TSA, and airline community by building strong stakeholder relationships
• Manage incident prevention and responses
• Attend station management team meetings

Requirements

• 1-2 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing operation (e.g., retail, restaurants, hospitality, rental cars)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and influence others
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in an ever-changing environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
• Proficiency in using technology daily in your work
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to follow policies and procedures set forth by CLEAR, airport, state, and federal regulations
• Availability to work a non-traditional schedule (e.g., weekends, holidays, early mornings, and/or evenings)
• Successful completion of CLEAR, airport, and government screening as applicable, including background checks and drug test. May also include federal Personnel Security (PerSec) SF-85 screening, which may involve additional criminal screening, credit checks, and verification of identity and citizenship or immigration status, as required by federal security screening standards.
