Must work as an Experis hourly W-2 employee (position is not open to sub-vendor, Corp. to Corp., or Stem/OPT).
Pay
Hourly rate: $40.00 per hour with Experis benefits.
Schedule
- 1-year contract (with opportunity for extension)
- 40 hours per week
- Remote work; client operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST)
Contractor must provide their own computer, cell phone, and access to reliable high-speed internet.
Overview
The selected candidate will assist the Program team in daily operational tasks such as award letters, modifications, assignments, and extensions prior to incentives being released. This position will also support the development and execution of operational processes and the client information center, Knowledgebase.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational assistance to Program Managers (PMs) on tasks including award letters, review of project modifications, assignments, outreach to contractors for required documentation, and updating the portal in NEIS.
- Align processes across two programs to create efficiencies.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are up-to-date, organized, and uploaded in the appropriate knowledge base.
- Use client templates (e.g., memos to files) to document changes and processes.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements by questioning existing processes.
- Review incentive applications.
- Execute award letters, assignments, project modifications, and extension requests.
- Assist in the development and organization of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned that contribute toward the goals and objectives of the NY-SUN program.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of Oracle/Peoplesoft or similar platforms with a high volume of data entry (e.g., client’s NEIS platform).
- Ability to understand and implement Program Rules outlined in respective Program Manuals.
- Experience developing and streamlining operational processes for a range of programs.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to pick up processes quickly and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Database knowledge and ability to adapt to new systems/software.

About the Team
The team focuses on two key programs:
- NY SUN Program: Installation of solar projects for residential, commercial, and commercial-industrial clients, with a focus on low-income customers.
- Energy Storage Program: Residential and retail (commercial large-scale systems) storage program to provide energy backup.
