About the role

The Assistant Operations Manager (MIT) will assist with coordinating and directing operations necessary to carry out contractual responsibilities between SBM and customers. This includes planning, supervising, budgeting, vendor and supply contacts, customer relations, and other managerial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare schedules for service personnel, assign personnel to routes
  • Assist with inspection and evaluation of establishment for program compliance, including safety, quality, and service
  • Assist with inventory supplies and equipment
  • Investigate and promote improved equipment and methods
  • Review customer requests for service to ascertain cause, type of malfunction, and address with manager
  • Inspect plant and evaluate use of space and facilities
  • Aid in plan, budget, and schedule modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, and contracts
  • Participate in the development of long-range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements for program/process improvements
  • Aid in coordination of program specifications, requirements for proposals and contracts, and associated documents
  • Maintain a safe work environment for self and employees
  • Aid in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, such as FLSA, OSHA, ADA, etc.
  • Act as liaison between company, customers, clients, employees, and subcontractors
  • Establish and maintain contact with contractors to ensure the smooth working of the contract process
  • Conduct and attend meetings to communicate top down and bottom up on a consistent real-time basis with customers, clients, and employees
  • Aid with human resource concerns and issues

Qualifications

  • A.A. Degree required in Business Management, or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus
  • Bilingual a plus
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license
  • Completed all safety and task training certification
  • May be required to be forklift certified

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
  • Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
  • Customer service, problem solving, time management, project management, planning, excellent communication, presentation, interviewing, coaching, and training skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Pay

$60,000-70,000
