Responsibilities

  • Aid the Operations Manager in managing the loan lifecycle from application to closing.
  • Supervise and coach processors to meet quality and turnaround standards.
  • Maintain pipeline health, identify bottlenecks, and ensure compliance.
  • Review and approve conditional approvals, title reports, insurance, and appraisals.
  • Enforce TRID deadlines, track lock expirations, and manage CD approvals.
  • Create and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and quality control measures.
  • Step in as Acting Operations Manager when necessary.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of mortgage operations experience, including processing, underwriting support, or operations management.
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring a team in a mortgage environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and non-QM loan products.
  • Strong understanding of TRID, RESPA, and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator who can coach team members and address issues.
