About the role
The Assistant Nurse Manager / Clinical Resource Leader (CRL) at MidState Medical Center is recognized as the clinical expert in emergency medicine patient care services. This role serves as a leadership model for Registered Nurses and all staff under their supervision.
Responsibilities
- Directs the work to ensure the overall movement of patients through the unit is managed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Reviews the assignment of patient care activities to ensure staff is qualified to care for assigned patients.
- Supports team members and ensures quality and service excellence to patients.
- Facilitates solutions for challenging patient care situations.
- Appropriately assigns the workload and collaborates with the manager to monitor and maintain staff performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (candidates in the process of completing a BSN will be considered).
- Current Connecticut RN license required.
- Charge nurse or supervisory experience required.
- Three to five years Emergency Department RN experience required.
- Must have demonstrated appropriate clinical knowledge to evaluate and prioritize patient flow issues, along with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to set priorities and supervise a work team is a must.
