Assistant Nurse Manager - Pediatric Critical Care Transport

About the Role

This leadership position oversees daily operations, staff management, education, and clinical functions for neonatal and pediatric transport nurses. The role involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel performance, and ensuring departmental goals align with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, evaluate staff, and conduct performance reviews.
• Develop staffing plans, manage budgets, and oversee resource allocation.
• Ensure high-quality patient care tailored to developmental needs and document interventions.
• Implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
• Manage staff productivity, schedule staffing, approve payroll, and handle staff communications.
• Support staff development, recommend improvements, and ensure operational goals are met.

Requirements

• RN licensure with a nursing diploma or associate's degree; bachelor's preferred.
• 3+ years of pediatric transport or critical care experience in NICU, PICU, or pediatric ER.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience; preferred BSN and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
