About the Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager supports departmental leadership in managing the Integrated Spine Unit, a specialized inpatient unit combining neurologic and orthopedic spine patient care. This role involves overseeing staff, coordinating patient care, ensuring adherence to best practices, and contributing to the development of the unit’s culture and operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Participate in staffing, budgeting, and resource management to meet operational objectives.
• Oversee patient care planning and documentation tailored to patient needs.
• Lead staff communication, scheduling, and productivity management, including payroll and time card reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and support a safe work environment.

Requirements

• BSN required; RN license essential.
• 2-5 years of nursing experience; preferred 5-10 years.
• Leadership experience with less than 2 years preferred.
