About the role

This position involves coordinating patient care on a 24-bed GYN Oncology unit specializing in female-related issues, including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, symptom, pain, palliative, and hospice care. The role requires managing staff, overseeing equipment, and ensuring quality patient care through a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development.
• Contribute to staffing, budget, and operational goals, ensuring productivity and compliance.
• Provide and oversee patient care based on individualized plans, ensuring documentation and adherence to policies.
• Create collaborative care plans aligned with assessments and medical treatments.
• Monitor staff hours, approve payroll, handle staff communications, and manage staffing needs, overtime, and performance reviews.
• Ensure departmental safety, staff productivity, and achievement of operational objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

BSN required, RN license essential. 2-5 years of experience; preferred 5-10 years. Supervisory experience desirable, with no experience needed for some roles. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. This safety-sensitive role emphasizes alertness and safety in all duties, with a focus on high-acuity patient care and team management.
