About the Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered nurse responsible for overseeing clinical and operational activities during assigned shifts. They support the unit director/manager in planning, organizing, and evaluating services, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulations. The ANM manages clinical and non-clinical staff, provides coaching and mentoring, and collaborates to deliver high-quality patient care. They contribute to policy implementation, monitor clinical priorities, and assist in performance evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily clinical and operational activities.
- Support staff development through coaching and mentoring.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve quality of care and unit performance.
- Contribute to performance evaluations and team leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BS or BSN).
- RN license in Alaska and BLS certification required upon hire.
- Preferred experience includes clinical work in acute care, leadership roles such as charge nurse, and shared governance involvement.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.
