Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency Nursing Emergency Services

About the role

Partner with the Nurse Manager to assure department operations are carried out at Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center in Enola, PA. Full‑time position (FTE 1.0) on an evening shift with varied hours. Recruiter: Kathryn Rush (krush2@pennstatehealth.psu.edu).

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Nurse Manager to assure department operations are carried out.
• Manage and develop the unit, including:
• Interviewing, hiring, and supervision of staff.
• Assisting with developing and monitoring budget, policies and procedures.
• New employee orientation and ongoing education of staff.
• Management of quality improvement programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a BSN to be obtained within two (2) years of hire.
• Three (3) years of related experience.
• AHA BLS certification obtained prior to the end of orientation.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or a multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.

Schedule
