About the Role

Under the direct supervision of the Head Wrestling Coach, the Assistant Coach is responsible for carrying out all duties assigned by the Head Wrestling Coach as they relate to the administration of the sport and to always work in the best interest of the program, the Athletic Department, and the University.

As a member of the Athletic Department’s Facilities Team, the Assistant Coach is also responsible for event preparation (set-ups and tear downs) and any other assistance needed to promote effective and efficient function of the Athletic Facilities Team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Wrestling Coach in administering the wrestling program.
  • Support event preparation, including set-ups and tear downs for athletic events.
  • Promote effective and efficient operation of the Athletic Facilities Team.
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and core values of Minot State University Athletics.

Requirements

  • Wrestling coaching experience.
  • General computer skills; database management software experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and remain on your feet for much of the day.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task.

Qualifications

Preferred education: 4-year degree.
