About the role

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a medical oncologist to join a high-volume GU practice with close collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues in surgical oncology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, pathology, radiology, and supportive care medicine. The candidate would provide patient care under the auspices of the Moffitt Medical Group and serve as a member of the academic medical enterprise, advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.

Responsibilities

  • Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center.
  • Provides patient care and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise, advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.
  • Joins a team of 6 medical oncologists throughout multiple sites with a special focus on bladder cancer clinical research.
  • Works closely with a GU disease site team, which is a rapidly growing department at Moffitt with a robust clinical trial portfolio in GU cancer immunotherapy, cell therapy, and adaptive therapy.
  • Enrolled over 140 patients in clinical trials over the past years, with over 80% of the trials being early phase trials.
  • Participates in investigator-initiated studies such as adaptive therapy and CAR T trial, developed through close collaborations with Moffitt's research institute.

Requirements

Summary Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (or equivalent, as determined by the Medical Executive Committee, from time to time) with certificates of special qualification in hematology and/or medical oncology.

Qualifications

  • Education/Licensure: MD or Equivalent
  • Board certified (or eligible) in Hematology/Oncology
  • Requires successful completion of an approved Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology
  • Florida Medical License
  • DEA License
  • ACLS as required by privileges granted through Medical Staff
