Responsibilities

The position involves studying and managing diseases, especially malignant tumors and radiological treatments of abnormal tissue, through the use of X-rays or radionuclides. The radiation oncologist provides patient care under the auspices of Moffitt Medical Group and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise, advancing the institution's mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. They work closely with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, palliative care physicians, APPs, and nurses as part of a patient care team. Additionally, they collaborate with radiation oncology medical physicists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists to plan and deliver radiotherapy.

Requirements

  • MD/DO or equivalent Florida license eligible
  • Board certified/eligible in Radiation Oncology (board certification preferred)
  • ACLS as required by privileges granted through Medical Staff
  • DEA License

Pay

Salary Range: $396,843.20 - $492,258.21
Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
