About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in overseeing all store operations, managing team members, and ensuring brand standards are met.
Responsibilities
30% Brand: Supervise associates, plan daily goals, and ensure exceptional customer experiences that maximize sales and customer loyalty. Manage brand standards including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.
30% People: Engage, train, and develop team members to achieve business objectives. Recruit and hire associates, identify strengths and opportunities, and coach or counsel team members. Maintain positive relationships with team members and peers, and ensure compliance with company policies.
30% Operations: Ensure adherence to company processes, manage digital strategies, and execute inventory and payroll tasks. Follow safety protocols and protect company assets.
10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Maintain a safe store environment, enforce policies, and analyze reports to prevent losses.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years old
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred
Ability to lead or support a team of associates
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
