About the role
The Neenah Public Library is seeking a friendly, energetic, and knowledgeable Assistant Librarian to work with the Youth Services department. This is a regular, part-time position with flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Plans, prepares, and implements library programs.
- Provides friendly and knowledgeable assistance at the Youth Service desk.
- Books meeting rooms for public or library use.
- Guides patrons in locating library materials, using the catalog, and accessing digital resources.
- Maintains a welcoming and organized library environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the director or department heads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of customer service experience.
Benefits
- Starting wage: $26.21 per hour.
- Permanent part-time averaging 20 hours per week.
- Paid vacation, sick, and holidays.
- This position is not eligible for health insurance or retirement benefits.
- This position does not contribute to Social Security. Instead, it contributes to MidAmerica, a Social Security alternative program.
