Assistant Instructional Professor, Construction Management

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Commits to a team-oriented environment within progressive Construction Management and Construction Engineering Technology programs
  • Focuses on teaching (12 hours per semester), student recruitment, career advising, mentoring, and industry engagement
  • Teaches courses in construction methods (e.g., concrete, plumbing, steel, HVAC, electrical, framing), construction management, estimating, CAD, graphics, or other relevant courses within the School of Construction
  • Develops and delivers current and innovative courses in Construction Management and Construction Engineering Technology
  • Maintains computer competency for the effective use of educational technology and resources in course delivery and management
  • Serves or projects for the School of Construction and Crossland College of Technology as determined at hire by the Director and Dean

Education And Experience

  • Required:
  • Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) in construction, engineering, engineering technology, management, business or a closely related technical area
  • 5-years U.S. construction experience
  • Master’s degree in construction management, civil or structural engineering, engineering technology, related field or 10 years of US construction experience preferred
  • Record of professional society (AGC, NAHB, AIC, ASCE, ASEE, ASSE, etc.) engagement
  • Professional registration/certifications (contractor’s license, CPC, LEED, PE, LS, OSHA, NCCER or others)
  • 1+ years’ experience teaching University, college or community college
  • 10-years U.S. construction or closely related technical experience in a managerial/supervisory position

Salary Range

$70,000.00 annually
