Assistant General Manager - PA3

About the role

The Assistant General Manager, Fulfillment Center Operations at ShipMonk is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a fulfillment center. This includes managing thousands of daily decisions such as inbound receiving, outbound accuracy, and equipment maintenance. The role also involves setting expectations, tracking KPIs, and building a supervisory layer of leadership.

Responsibilities

• Daily operations: Inbound, outbound, inventory accuracy, equipment maintenance, and sanitation standards.
• P&L and KPIs: Track labor cost, throughput, error rates, and adjust levers when necessary.
• People and culture: Hire supervisors, develop frontline leads, and conduct performance conversations.
• Cross-functional coordination: Work with customer service, sales, and other facility leaders to prevent downstream issues.

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years in fulfillment, distribution, or supply chain operations, including leading teams of 40 or more.
• Experience managing a facility budget and hitting operational KPIs.
• Comfort with WMS and enterprise tools (Excel, project management software, process documentation).
• A track record of building supervisory layers, not just managing individual contributors.
• Strong communication skills to present to executives and work a warehouse floor in the same day.
• Lever Six Sigma certification is a plus.
