Founding KidStrong Assistant General Manager at our brand-new Bensalem center. This is a unique opportunity to help build a thriving community from the ground up alongside the General Manager.
About the role
As the second-in-command, you will foster a culture of learning, deliver an exceptional experience for families, and help execute a stellar launch. You’ll report directly to the General Manager, acting as their right-hand partner in running the floor, building center culture, and maintaining operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Center Operations & Launch:
- Partner with the GM on daily business decisions, tracking key KPIs, and keeping attrition low.
- Optimize income-generating programs like camps and birthday parties to maximize center profitability.
- Maintain a spotless center, ensure brand consistency, and manage daily operations.
- Lead from the front with shift hours tailored to center needs, utilizing appropriate scheduling tools.
- Sales & Community Growth:
- Conduct energetic call drives to new and existing leads in our CRM to boost pre-sale and monthly growth.
- Follow up on online self-sign-ups and convert inquiries into active founding members.
- Source and attend local events to build brand awareness and drive incremental leads.
- Leadership & Team Support:
- Foster a coaching culture by assessing coaches based on the KidStrong Coach DNA.
- Partner with the GM to onboard, train, and evaluate coaching candidates while managing ongoing staff development via LearnUpon.
- Maintain high-level, professional communication via Slack and Email with co-workers and HQ.
- Coaching:
- Deliver our world-class curriculum focusing on Brain, Physical, and Character development for kids aged 15 months to 11 years.
- Coach 5–10 classes a week in a physically active environment, moving equipment up to 25 lbs and physically guiding children safely.
- Earn Coach Certification through HQ Training and log class data using the KS Coaches App.
Who you’ll be interacting with
- Mentor and lead coaching staff as the primary Manager on Duty when the General Manager is off.
- Build community by connecting closely with center families and team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate strategically with the GM, leadership, and the KidStrong HQ team.
Requirements
- Experience & Skills:
- Athletic or coaching background with a passion for working with kids (ages 15 months to 11 years) is non-negotiable.
- Comfortable speaking authentically with parents and guardians about student progress.
- Practical experience with Google and Microsoft platforms; experience with ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, ADP, or CRM systems is a plus.
- Bonus Qualifications:
- Prior experience in pediatric OT/PT or general management is preferred but not required.
- CPR Certified (or willing to obtain) and intermediate knowledge of exercise techniques and body mechanics.
