About the Role
We are a 100% scratch kitchen seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring high standards in food quality, service, safety, and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Run effective shifts across all dining room and kitchen systems.
- Provide direction, coaching, training, and development for assistant managers and team members on food quality, service standards, safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Ensure consistent execution of systems, standards, and cost controls.
- Communicate goals regularly to the General Manager and Local Owner.
- Maintain open communication with guests, team members, management, vendors, and the Station 5 team.
- Oversee cleanliness of interior and exterior facilities and maintain sufficient supply levels.
- Manage BOH schedules, staffing levels, labor goals, and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee department inventory procedures and coach assistant managers on weekly inventory tasks.
- Manage BOH budgets, including forecasting.
- Assist in interviewing and hiring for all departments to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Ensure all food and service standards are met each shift and deliver a great guest experience.
- Follow safety procedures and standards when operating equipment.
- Handle multiple priorities, work under stress, and exercise good judgment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
- Three to five years of high-volume, full-service restaurant management experience.
- Exceptional leadership and motivational skills.
- Ability to attract, train, develop, and retain top-performing team members.
- Strong guest service focus with a commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience.
- Ability to define, measure, and attain financial goals, including sales growth, guest count increases, staffing levels, and cost management.
Physical Requirements
- Perform duties requiring bending, lifting, reaching, and turning.
- Transport items and containers weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for up to 8 hours or longer as needed.
- Sit or stand for extended periods in a restaurant environment.
- Use hands repetitively to handle kitchen equipment, food items, and dishes.
- Climb ladders and step stools.
- Work in heat and handle exposure to varying kitchen conditions.
- Dexterity required for handling food and dishes.
