Pay

Expected salary range of $219,600 to $244,000, varying based on experience, plus the comprehensive benefits package described above.

Primary Purpose

A highly experienced attorney who works independently, handling major matters, team or client responsibilities, and providing mentorship on a project‑specific basis. Frequently supervises professional teams and handles matters of substantial importance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a specialist in one or more fields of law, delivering technical and expert legal services to Constellation business units.
• Plan, conduct, and supervise large, highly complex legal assignments with little or no supervision.
• Evaluate legal and business risks and advise clients accordingly.
• Represent Constellation in transactions, litigation, or other relevant matters.
• Provide legal counsel to all management levels, including senior leadership.
• Lead and mentor less‑experienced attorneys and support staff.
• Prepare and revise budgets and early matter assessments for matters involving outside counsel.
• Perform additional projects or duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• LLB or JD from an accredited law school and licensure to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions.
• 10–12 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law.
• Comprehensive knowledge of legal principles, practices, and procedures for complex assignments.
• Excellent legal research and analytical abilities, with ongoing knowledge of federal and/or state law.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience handling retail energy commodity transactional work.
• Experience in the ERCOT market (highly preferred).
• Experience in multiple RTO and ISO markets (a plus).
• Experience with PPA, wholesale, and REC transactions (a plus).
• Proven ability to draft and structure complex energy products and transactions in collaboration with business partners.
• Demonstrated capacity to contribute ideas and solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
