Assistant Football Coach (Volunteer)

About the role

The volunteer football coach will support the Great Neck Middle School community by providing leadership and guidance to the student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a coaching plan that aligns with the school’s values and mission.
• Lead practices and games, ensuring safety and adherence to rules and regulations.
• Work closely with the principal or designee to organize and manage team events and activities.
• Mentor students, fostering their growth both on and off the field.

Requirements

• Experience coaching youth sports, preferably at the middle school level.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Knowledge of youth sports development and best practices.
