About the role

The Missouri Department of Corrections seeks a dynamic leader to oversee the Employee Health Wellness and Support (EHWS) section of the Division of Human Services. This role involves working closely with leadership and executive staff to advise on all matters related to the division.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of 6 direct reports in areas such as Employee Health, Employee Wellness, Employee Trauma, Employee Support, and PCIS unit.
  • Supervision of staff located in various locations throughout the state.
  • Identify program priorities and direct the development and implementation of new programs and services.
  • Lead process improvement projects using project management principles and data-driven outcomes.
  • Communicate the department's mission, direction, and priorities to team members through various methods.
  • Understand and promote the state budget process.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include extensive knowledge and expertise in administration, overall management of an organization, and the ability to make decisions. Demonstrated competencies in strategic thinking, analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills are also required. The ideal candidate should have the skills necessary to lead, provide clear directions to team members, and manage and lead multiple projects.

Pay

The Department of Corrections offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years. Additionally, there are shift differentials available contingent upon position and facility type.
