About the Role

The Assistant Director for the Vascular Labs partners with the Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology and Vascular Labs to oversee daily operations, patient throughput, and discharge-sensitive cases across Montefiore Medical Center’s Moses, Weiler, and Wakefield divisions and MHS, including technical support for outpatient areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct the technical practice of all vascular technologists and clerical staff to ensure adherence to hospital-wide and departmental policies on patient care, diagnostic testing, discharge requirements, monitoring, performance improvement, cultural competence, and compliance with IAC, Joint Commission, DOH, and other regulatory guidelines.
• Manage all revenue-cycle operations and supply-chain operations for the vascular testing department.
• Serve as the Director’s designee, representing the department in senior-leadership forums to develop coordinated strategies that streamline patient throughput and discharge while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Lead efforts to deliver timely, accurate diagnostic testing without duplication of effort and promote service excellence.
• Oversee all capital-equipment purchases and maintenance.
• Spearhead special projects and manage all staffing issues, including hiring, training, professional development, and ensuring adequate staffing across all sites.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Registered in Vascular Imaging (RVT or equivalent) required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related technical role, including at least 3 years in a hospital setting.
• Health-care management experience preferred.
• Familiarity with New York service-delivery systems preferred.
• Knowledge of technical imaging standards required.
• Understanding of health-care reimbursement preferred.

Pay

$136,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
