About the role
The Assistant Director, Resource Development supports the Learning College concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning. They are responsible for assigned administrative duties related to the college’s grant-funded projects under the supervision of the Director, Resource Development.
Responsibilities
- Researches, analyzes, identifies and provides reports on potential funding sources in support of college priorities.
- Works with project managers and lead teams to write and edit proposals and grant applications for submission to appropriate agencies.
- Drafts letters of submission, agreement, commitment, partnership, or other support for appropriate signatures.
- Prepares graphic presentations and flow charts as required to support grant applications.
- Develops and presents workshops for college faculty and staff about grant application procedures and grant implementation procedures.
- Maintains a list of grants researched and submitted, as well as an active grant project list.
- Represents the resource development office at community and/or partnership meetings, professional organizations, and other college offices and committees, as assigned.
- Communicates regularly with appropriate administrators, including the vice presidents, to provide updates and progress information.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree required.
- A minimum of three (3-5) years of related experience required, such as proposal writing, grant administration and/or budgeting.
- Proven success in grant proposal writing.
- Knowledge of grant funding operations and experience with grant budget development and maintenance strongly preferred.
- Experience in administration in an education setting and grant program management is desirable.
