About the role
The Assistant Director of Recruitment (ADR) will provide leadership to a team of Recruiters responsible for recruiting and placing professionals for assignments throughout the U.S. The ADR will optimize recruitment processes, enhance candidate experiences, and contribute to the overall success of the organization by maintaining an active pool of professionals to meet client needs, impacting fill rate, revenue, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and compliance.
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline workflows and enhance recruitment operations.
- Develop training, best practices, tools, templates, and resources for recruiters.
- Manage and leverage recruitment technology tools, including the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), to streamline processes and enhance candidate experience.
- Stay informed about emerging recruitment technologies and recommend relevant tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Utilize data and metrics to evaluate recruitment strategies and assess performance, generating regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead and supervise a team of recruitment coordinators, administrators, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Monitor and drive department metrics, manage production goals, and assess individual performance.
- Implement performance improvement plans as needed and model best practices.
- Work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and stakeholders to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between recruitment operations and other HR functions.
- Focus on creating a positive candidate experience and enhancing the overall candidate journey.
- Mitigate and resolve concerns for field professionals through direct engagement and orchestrated resolution.
- Cultivate an environment of accountability, responsibility, and trust within the team.
- Attract, select, and retain talent through participation in the interview, selection, and onboarding process.
- Develop strategic initiatives and action plans to meet professional volume and profit goals.
- Align long-term team goals with individual short-term goals to promote accountability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5 years of recruitment experience in the service industry and/or business management (preferred).
- 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role (required).
- Staffing experience required; education industry knowledge and experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with recruitment technologies, including ATS.
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
- Ability to identify and address challenges within recruitment processes.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Adaptable to changes and emerging trends in recruitment.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
