Assistant Director, Recruiting
About the role
The Assistant Director, Recruiting is responsible for leading the campus component of the overall recruiting strategy to attract a strong and diverse pipeline of talent that aligns to program goals. This includes collaborating with the Partnerships and Programs teams to understand program requirements, partner firm expectations, and applicant profile needs. The role also involves managing strategies to publicize internship and full-time opportunities available through SEO's partner network to prospective and current program participants.
Responsibilities
- Lead the campus component of the overall recruiting strategy to attract a strong and diverse pipeline of talent that aligns to program goals.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships and Programs teams to understand program requirements, partner firm expectations, and applicant profile needs to ensure recruiting strategies are aligned to downstream placement goals.
- In partnership with Director, Pathways, manage strategies to publicize internship and full-time opportunities available through SEO's partner network to prospective and current program participants across both SEO Career and SEO Alternative Investments.
- Develop an AI/technology driven recruitment plan including identifying appropriate tools and services, designing use cases, and planning the approach to leveraging AI for sourcing candidates for SEO Career and partner roles.
- Analyze campus composition/geography to set individual campus strategies, set targets, and assign campuses to a team of recruiters.
- Develop and implement campus events strategy which may include informational sessions, professional development workshops and program-specific recruiting/enrichment events.
- Establish relationships with key leaders and campus partners to deliver recruiting initiatives, programs, and share/leverage best practices.
- Build external partnerships with diversity, student and industry specific organizations both through on campus contacts and through national conference opportunities.
- Understand business and competitive landscape to influence & shape future recruiting strategies.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics to influence data driven decisions and to share results/trends with stakeholders.
- Coach and manage a team of to execute on campus recruiting strategy by directing, motivating, and developing the team to hit recruitment goals.
- Foster a high-performance team culture grounded in accountability, continuous learning, and mission alignment.
- Develop team members' skills in candidate assessment, industry knowledge, and technology utilization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in human resource or high-volume campus/student recruitment. Previous experience in a professional services environment, recruitment agency, or in higher education/career services also applies.
- Strong people management experience.
