Assistant Manager Big Blue Swim School – Short Hills, NJ Full Time Salary: $50,000 plus bonus Big Blue Swim School in Short hills is opening Fall 2026 and is hiring an Assistant Manager to help with the new opening and to lead day-to-day operations, develop a strong team, and create an outstanding experience for families and staff. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced leader ready to run a fast-paced, high-energy business where customer service, team culture, and operational excellence matter. We’re looking for someone who leads by example, communicates well, solves problems quickly, and takes pride in building a successful team and facility. As the Assistant Manager, you’ll serve as the right hand to the General Manager, playing a vital role in delivering a fun, safe, and rewarding experience for both families and staff. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service, regularly communicating with parents and customers to share progress updates.Oversee building operations, including cleanliness, water quality, and pump room functionality.Monitor student progress and ensure appropriate curriculum advancement, including tracking achievements and move-ups.Coach and guide Swim Associates in delivering safe, effective, and engaging swim lessons.Ensure adherence to Big Blue Swim School’s safety procedures, curriculum standards, and principles.Maintain required certifications and enforce safety protocols. Qualifications Required:2+ years of proven experience managing large hourly teams.Strong customer service skills.Sales experience.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to work evenings and weekends.Comfortable working in the pool as needed.Enthusiastic about working with kids and helping them grow.Positive, fun-loving attitude.Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. and move throughout the facility to interact with staff and customers.
