About the role

Supports the Resident Services Director (Director of Nursing) in overseeing nursing services across our Shoreline communities.
Collaborates with the Resident Services Director to direct, plan, and coordinate professional and auxiliary nursing staff in delivering resident care.
Interprets policies and regulations for nursing personnel and ensures full compliance with applicable standards.
Analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services to maintain and enhance quality of resident care.
Partners with the Resident Services Director to provide oversight of residents’ healthcare needs, including the medication delivery system.
Coordinates and supports in-service training for Resident Care Departments.
Contributes to a team-based approach to quality resident care by supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Helps residents maintain the highest possible level of independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a RN Designee for nursing services across multiple communities.
  • Directs, plans, and coordinates professional and auxiliary nursing staff in delivering resident care.
  • Interprets policies and regulations for nursing personnel and ensures full compliance with applicable standards.
  • Analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services to maintain and enhance quality of resident care.
  • Partners with the Resident Services Director to provide oversight of residents’ healthcare needs, including the medication delivery system.
  • Captures and supports in-service training for Resident Care Departments.
  • Contributes to a team-based approach to quality resident care by supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Helps residents maintain the highest possible level of independence and quality of life.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in the state of Connecticut, with a minimum one-year experience in assisted living or home care.
  • A passion for working with seniors is preferred.
  • Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members.
  • In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Must have a current RN license in the state of Connecticut.
  • Must have a minimum of one year of experience in assisted living or home care.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in long-term care.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
