Nursing Assistant Float

Job Summary

As our Nursing Assistant Float III, you will assist patients in receiving direct care, including activities of daily living, ensuring patient safety and adherence to nursing standards. You will also provide emotional support and communicate abnormal findings to the RN.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety and a clean, healthy environment.
• Assist RN with patient assessments and care planning.
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living.
• Promote patient comfort through positioning and restful environments.
• Recognize and report abnormal findings and changes in patient status to the RN.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certificate
• One of the following certifications:
• AZ CNA certification
• AZ LNA certification
• Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program
• Successful completion of first-year curriculum in an accredited RN nursing program
• Six (6) months of NA experience
• Current EMT certification with six (6) months of patient care experience
• Effective and courteous telephone skills
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Preferred

• Acute care experience
• Electronic medical record (EMR) experience
• Cerner experience

Pay and Benefits

The position is paid a 20% differential on the base hourly rate. Benefits may vary based on location.

Schedule

This role floats to 3 levels of care in 1-2 facilities.
