Assistant Director of Nursing RN

Full-time position supporting and managing Nursing Services for residents in accordance with physicians' orders and residents' total needs. In partnership with the Director of Nursing, oversees 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and directs the department to maintain quality care standards. Assumes responsibility for clinical operations in the absence of the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates plans for resident care complying with physician’s orders, regulations, and facility policies.
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff; monitors implementation.
• Participates in admissions decisions and may evaluate prospective residents before admission.
• Attends daily and weekly management meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel, or concerns.
• Ensures compassionate, high-quality care through adequate staffing, cleanliness, pressure wound prevention, and optimal resident function maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Five years of experience in long-term or acute healthcare preferred.
• Minimum of two years of nursing supervisory experience required.
