About the role

The Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS) at Riverside Village is responsible for providing resident care according to professional standards of nursing practice. This position works closely with the Director of Nursing Services to develop, communicate, and maintain nursing policies and procedures that align with company and facility philosophy of care.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve delegated responsibilities and accountability for the provision of resident care.
  • Develop, communicate, and maintain nursing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, and company and facility philosophy of care.
  • Assure compliance with Federal and State laws and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Coach and mentor clinical staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and residents' families.
  • Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Indiana RN license or ability to obtain an Indiana license.
  • Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers, and staff.

  • Desire to inspire and motivate clinical staff and foster a positive work environment.
  • Solid foundation of nursing knowledge and skills.
  • Willingness to coach and mentor clinical staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and residents’ families.
  • Create a supportive presence for residents.
